Karla Flores Jaime graduated from Portland State University (PSU) in 2020 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Karla joined PSU SHPE her Freshman year at PSU and became President her Senior year. During her term as President, Karla was nominated as the RLDC 1 Student Chair for the year 2019. She helped lead her team in planning a successful RLDC hosted in Portland, OR for the first time. Karla manages the tool database at the SSOE Group for Intel Facilities. As the VP of Operations of SHPE Oregon, Karla wishes to bring more recognition to SHPE Oregon on a Regional and National level. Karla wishes to make engineering a more inclusive space for women and people of color. She is a firm believer that change happens when we lift each other up as we grow in our careers. In her spare time, Karla enjoys Karaoke, running, cooking, photography, fishing, and watching movies and music videos.
