Lesley Martinez graduated from the University of Portland in 2020 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. Lesley collaborated with fellow students and the Dean of Engineering at the University of Portland to establish the university's first SHPE student chapter. As a Civil Engineer at Tetra Tech, Lesley provides design and drafting support for various projects in the water industry. Lesley has worked on projects dealing with wastewater pump station upgrades, stormwater conveyance, and drinking water infrastructure. Lesley hopes to continue strengthening the SHPE Oregon Professional Chapter to better support the LatinX community in the Pacific Northwest.
